  • Support the 100/$1000 campaign for the Community Housing Fund

  • Invite us to give a presentation at your place of worship to tell the story of homelessness
  • Enlist your place of faith in the Severe Weather Plan

  • Write the commissioners and be present when the Ten Year Plan is presented.     (for contact information, see below)
  • Consider being a supporting church of Family Bridge Shelter
      (for contact information, see below)
  • Distribute petitions, gather signatures     (click here for the petition:   PDF - 70K)
  • Join the Interfaith Committee on Homelessness and attend the monthly meetings on the second Monday of every month     (give us your email address for updates)

The Interfaith Committee on Homelessness provides reference below to programs and facilities which give assistance to the homeless of Washington County, Oregon. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance for homelessness or housing insecurity, please call 211. If you're calling from a cell phone, or 211 is not available in your area, dial (503) 222-5555. Hours are 8AM until 8PM Monday through Friday.

Join us. Talk about what you learn here with others so people become more familiar with this issue. Encourage your church to join the 100/$1000 campaign. Commit your church to contributing $1000. per year to the Community Housing Fund. Break the back of housing insecurity.
